Cambium works with clients across the labour movement, not for profits, companies, arts organizations, academic institutions, grassroots groups and others to catalyze deeply needed shifts in organizational culture, rooted in equity, transformative justice and liberation.

Our work recognizes that redress and reform are often a starting point in workplaces and communities. We also truly believe that whether in workplaces or in our communities, we all have the ability to move collaboratively from reform to truly systemic transformation and liberation.

Cambium embraces our social justice roots in all of our work. We have over two decades of direct experience and expertise in intersectional labour practices, anti-oppression work, equity and justice.

A glimpse of our services:

  • Organizational assessments, policy development and other key initiatives to structurally embed inclusion and move from it to long term transformation and liberation in workplaces and communities

  • Mentoring and ongoing developmental support to grow your knowledge and practical skills in the areas of inclusion, equity and transformational change at an individual and organizational level (See our note on mentoring further below)

  • Cultural sensitivity training on a range of topics

  • Curriculum design and facilitation that covers a full and unique range of JEDI (justice, diversity, equity, inclusion), adult education, experiential, arts-based, popular education, critical race, feminist and other learning pedagogies

  • Arts and community initiatives that build lasting connections between a diversity of people and communities

Why mentorship?

We believe that any kind of systemic change must happen from a place of deep collaboration, connection and lateral models of knowledge sharing and liberation. Models of mentorship allow us to work within a foundation that recognizes we all have valuable wisdom and skills to share. At Cambium, we share our expertise and catalyze new growth while tapping into existing knowledge.
